Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get a refund at WordsLater. It is a plain-language summary of section 8 of our Terms of Service, which is the binding version if anything here conflicts. WordsLater sells one-time purchases only - there are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically.
Plan purchases
One-time plan purchases (Starter, Personal, Family, Legacy, and Lifetime) are refundable while all of the following are still true:
- Within 30 days of your purchase date.
- None of the credits the plan added have been used - your message and add-on balances are still at or above what the purchase granted.
- No scheduled message has been delivered or come due since the purchase.
If any one of these is no longer true, the plan has started providing value and is no longer eligible for a refund. Refund requests after the 30-day window are at our discretion.
How to request a refund
Eligible plan refunds are fully self-service and processed automatically - you do not need to contact us:
- Sign in and open Plans & Billing in your account.
- Find the purchase under Your plan purchases.
- Select Request refund. If the purchase is eligible, the button is shown; otherwise we explain why it isn't.
The refund is issued to your original payment method and typically appears within a few business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. The credits the plan added are removed from your account at the same time.
Prepaid add-on credits
Prepaid add-on credits - for example extra messages, photo and document attachments, voice and video recordings, SMS delivery, physical letters, trusted-contact slots, and Verified Sender credits - are sold as final-sale store credit. They are non-refundable, whether or not any credit has been used.
In exchange, these credits never expire. Any unused credits stay on your account indefinitely until you choose to use them.
Physical and printed deliveries
Once a printed letter, physical package, or other tangible delivery has been produced or dispatched, that specific delivery is non-refundable, because real-world printing and fulfillment costs have already been incurred.
Failed or duplicate payments
If a payment fails, the purchase is not completed and no credits are added - there is nothing to refund. If you believe you were charged in error or charged twice, contact us and we will investigate and correct it promptly.
